Well, what a pleasant surprise to eat at this neighborhood gem. Had a mabo tofu bowl that was perfectly cooked and spiced. Spicy cucumber salad too ... my pal Jack had the cold ramen soup that would not have been my choice, but it turns out it was delicious! Waitstaff and customers were all friendly, helpful and I will be returning here regularly. It's so exciting to find a new spot that is completely"in my Asian culinary wheelhouse"...love that! Highly recommended! A perfect spot with delicious entrees & salads and lots of ramen choices! TIP: since we live in a Car/bicycle on the move all the time culture and we're always driving around I would like to offer up the idea of checking out places in strip malls for unknown little treasures. It fascinates me. I rarely take highways... I take sides streets where I see the most amazing restaurants nestled in strip malls, which where I grew up that was not a compliment being located in a strip mall... Well, all that has changed,so everybody pay attention and keep your eyes open. You might be driving/biking/walking past a possible amazing restaurant that you could discover and that you will truly enjoy. Just a thought! Hydrate everyone, it is hot out there! Stay safe.

Low-key, this is one of the best Ramen places in LA. The cold noodles are just incredible, and they do things with tomatoes that I didn't think were even possible. I wish I didn't live so far away, or I'd be here all the time.

Seriously the best place to get ramen. If you haven't tried it you're missing out. The flavor of the ramen is so addicting and delicious. The service is also awesome and honest. They even offer outdoor dining with a couple tables in covered tent. We tried the tan tan which is SO good, highly recommend. It even comes in cold or hot and the flavor profile changes based on temperature. Sometimes when it's too hot I'll order the cold ramen and it's VERY refreshing. Perfect for LA weather! Can't wait to come back and try more ramen! Parking is very convenient in a lot right in front.

I went to get what they were known for which is the cold ramen. At first I was hesitant as it was "cold" ramen but I would have regretted it if I never tried it as it was very good. I expected it to be a bit heavy and greasy since it's cold but it have chewy noodles and a nicely balanced broth which I am able to finish.

I lived at this restaurant when they were on Olympic & followed them to Gateway. Spent years dining here. Y E A R S. Their ramen is the standard to which I have judged every subsequent bowl of noodles. Recently having moved to the Bay Area, I have been on a quest to find Ramenya's equal & have not found it. Have given up, sadly underwhelming. Miss the variety of choices on the menu & consistent quality. Their Shio broth is glorious & is nonexistent up here. I was reading the current menu & did not see my beloved vegetable curry fried rice, devastated. I intend to plea with the staff to slap one together upon my return with the promise of absurd gratuity. And now no longer open between lunch & dinner which was the best time to go to avoid a lengthy wait? Oh well, (sigh), everything changes. So appreciate every bite my SoCal eaters, lift your bowl in a gesture of thanks to the Noodle Gods & think of me.

My friend and I came at about 9pm, fully expecting us to get turned away as most restaurants in the area close around this time; however, what we experienced instead was very hospitable faces, giving us a menu (and picture menu!) to help us decide on our orders! The food here is the shining star of this quaint little ramen shop. We ordered Gyoza as appetizers and what struck me instantly was the irregular sizes of the dumpling, suggesting to me that these were handmade and fresh. With a single bite, I could tell that my assumption was true as the filling melted away in my mouth. Ramen was too good to even explain. I was not expecting a ramen to make me speechless tonight. You have to try it. I ordered a Negi, Shoyu and my friend ordered a tantan, hot. So good!

I needed a place to hang out for a couple hours so I found a place to eat! A friend and I visited Ramenya over the weekend. Before checking out the place I looked at some Yelp! reviews and most on top are from my friends but their posts were outdated. I gave Ramenya a chance as it was local to where I needed to be. We ordered a ramen each and a couple of appetizers. I never had raw octopus with wasabi so I was curious to try. My friend isn't as adventurous as I am but she was willing to try and she actually liked it the appetizer. It does some with a slimy and tough to chew consistency but it pairs really well with the amount of wasabi they added, plus very good with beer. We added goyza to our order and they were different from other places I've had goyzas at. These were plump and very filling. The taste was great as well! My ramen was the Asianya tantan ramen. I noticed there was a whiteboard as you entered and that was the #1 choice. So I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it while adding another level of spiciness to it. I wished the spice level was more higher but maybe we can fix that another time. Overall we both enjoyed our meal. I arrived early and noticed how quickly the tables started to get filled. So arrive early! Parking: small private lot. neighborhood parking is also available on Barry and Barrington VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

I remember this place from years ago from my past when I was single and lived in Culver City. This place was originally at Olympic and Sawtelle and it is one of the OG Ramen shops prior to Tsujita,Tatsu, and Daikokuya. We were in WLA so we decided to stop by and order some of my favs. The menu has changed a bit but my favs were still on the menu with a lot more choices. This is a legit Japanese ramen shop but more like an Izakaya. My Ramen favs are the Negi, Mabo, and Egg Drop Tan Tan. I also like their fried rice dishes and the Tenshin bowl.

Ramenya is one of my favorite ramen spots in LA! Everyone is friendly there, and they know their ingredients they put in each dish. They have lots of food items, including ramen, rice bowls, salads, and side dishes too! I like to get their basic ramen (chashu pork, green onion, bamboo shoots, and bean sprouts) with the glass noodles and salt base broth. I love how the soup has a nice pork flavor, not too salty. The glass noodles work rly well with the soup, and the pork inside was tender. I also enjoy getting the Harami Skirt Beef Rice Bowl, the beef there is also melt in your mouth! Portions of each dish is really generous for the price, and the food always comes out fast. The seating is rather small, but is modern and cozy. Definitely a solid ramen spot to check out! 10/10
